Create a ‘wow’ experience
Ziv’s initial app was for grill bookings. He co-founded Uncover, an award-winning reward grill reservation app, that came out of London Business School’s Deloitte Incubator Programme. The app was acquired in 2015, 9 months after it launched, by remuneration use Velocity.
Speaking of what he learnt from formulating a bookings app, Ziv says: “I learnt about user knowledge on mobiles, that is really opposite to a web.”
Ziv argues that user knowledge is about bargain real-life user issues, afterwards to pleasure by elucidate and regulating a vapid or damaged problem by a technical solution.
Uncover was designed to make it easy to make last-minute grill bookings during high-end restaurants. The thought was elementary enough. “It is comparatively easy to book a list for a grill online,” he says, “but if we wish go somewhere to eat tonight, it is distant some-more difficult. We flipped a indication on a head. All these restaurants have cancellations and no-shows. We would put their final few tables on a platform.”
Similarly, he says, on TouchNote it takes only 4 clicks to send a postcard. In a earthy world, a real-life user knowledge of promulgation a postcard can be utterly challenging: “Try anticipating a postcard, a stamp and a post bureau in a place we don’t know and can’t pronounce a language.”
The finish outcome is eventually a same – a user is means to send a postcard to someone. The difference, he says, is they have a choice – they can possibly use a aged process, or a new “wow” experience.
