On Thursday, the White House\u2019s social media will reportedly host a who\u2019s who<\/a>\u00a0of conservative media pundits. PragerU and Turning Point USA\u2019s Charlie Kirk have apparently received invites to the event. There will, however, be some key names missing from the invite list \u2014 including, notably, the social media companies themselves.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s White House is hosting what it calls \u201ca robust conversation on the opportunities and challenges of today\u2019s online environment\u201d this week. But according to a new report from CNN<\/a>, neither Facebook nor Twitter qualify as \u201cdigital leaders,\u201d as neither platform has received an invite.<\/p>\n

The White House hasn\u2019t released an invite list for the event \u2014 nor is it commenting on this latest report. Those sites will almost certainly be in the crosshairs, however, as Trump and fellow conservatives discuss their perceived biases. The President recently accused comes of \u201cfighting\u201d him in a recent interview with Fox News\u2019 Tucker Carlson, stating that \u201cwhat they\u2019re doing is wrong and possibly illegal.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent years, conservatives have accused Twitter, Facebook <\/a> and Google of \u201cshadow banning\u201d and other perceived slights. Earlier this month, Twitter \u2014 which has been the subject of criticism from liberals and conservatives alike \u2014 announced a new \u201cabusive behavior\u201d notice<\/a> aimed at public officials who violate the company\u2019s speech policies.<\/p>\n
